Mission & Purpose Statements

The Club is a volunteer organization of women with diverse talents who donate their time and moral support for the betterment of their local, state, national, and global communities while providing opportunities for personal growth and leadership.

The Club’s purpose is to encourage personal growth while fostering lasting friendships; to promote civic involvement through volunteerism in cultural, educational and social areas; to improve the communities we serve through effective action, leadership, and financial support.

The Club is a non-profit, non-sectarian, non-partisan, and non-political organization.

Towns Served

We currently serve towns where our members reside or work, or where we have connections via word-of-mouth. In the past 5 years, we have served: Bantam, Cornwall, Goshen, Harwinton, Lakeside, Litchfield, Morris, Northfield, and Torrington.

Fund Distributions

All of the Club’s proceeds are donated to various organizations and charities in the towns listed above.  Some of the recipients in the past 5 years include: fire departments, public libraries, the Goshen Recreation Department, the Torrington Soup Kitchen and St. Michael’s Food Pantry (Litchfield), FISH, the American Red Cross, Susan B. Anthony, the Girl Scouts, and the Boy Scouts.

The Club is pleased to offer college-bound high school seniors from the towns we serve with an opportunity to apply for a scholarship.  Volunteerism is the driving force of our Club and therefore that component is strongly considered for the award criteria. We will look at each applicant’s volunteer involvement with projects and events both within school and in the outside community. Applications must be postmarked no later than April 1st, 2021. Updated applications will be available after the New Year.
